Millage Rates
What is a millage rate?
A mill is equal to $1 of the property tax for each $1000 of assessed value. The full assessed value of property in Arkansas is 20% of its market value.
For Example, if you house has a market value of $100,000:
- Assessed Value: $100,000 x 20% = $20,000
- Value of one (1) mill: $20,000 ÷ 1,000 = $20
So, if your house is valued at $100,000, a one (1) mill property tax rate would cost you $20 per year.
